David Kurland is President and a founding member of Provencher & Company. With more than 45 years of experience in the insurance industry. Dave is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the firm, overseeing business operations, business development, sales and marketing, finance, and human resources.

Dave plays a central role in guiding the company’s long-term growth strategy while ensuring Provencher & Company maintains its reputation for responsive service, operational excellence, and strong client relationships. Working closely with the firm’s technical leadership team, he focuses on strengthening organizational performance, expanding national client partnerships, and supporting the continued development of the company’s claims professionals.

Prior to co-founding Provencher & Company, Dave held several senior leadership roles within the insurance industry, including serving as Assistant Vice President of Home Office Claim Operations for a multinational insurance carrier. Earlier in his career, he held various management, consulting, and technical positions, including serving as a Quality Control Consultant for a major national insurer, where he helped enhance claim processes and operational performance.

Dave has extensive experience managing complex claims operations and has overseen response efforts for numerous local, regional, and national catastrophe events throughout his career. He is widely recognized for his expertise in claims operations, strategic planning, and consultative business development, with a leadership approach centered on mentorship, collaboration, and exceptional client service.
