Harvey Busby serves as the Director of Forensic Accounting for Provencher & Company. As Director, Harvey is responsible for handling complex economic damage claims, and ensuring the company’s work-product satisfies Professional Accounting Standards and Federal Rules of Evidence.

Clients seek Mr. Busby’s advice and services because of his unique industry experience and knowledge. Harvey’s experience spans almost four decades, encompasses hundreds of loss determination engagements entailing numerous industries – with a focus on manufacturing enterprises, as well as the hospitality and health-care industries.

Mr. Busby has qualified as an expert and testified in State and Federal courts. Harvey has provided expert testimony in commercial disputes involving various economic and accounting-related matters including business-income-loss-measurements, inventory-loss-valuations, financial condition analyses, fraud, embezzlement, and business valuation issues.

Throughout Harvey’s career his work has been characterized by his commitment to integrity and dedication to his client’s success. As an example; during one forensic investigation engagement, Harvey detected, discovered, and documented a scheme perpetrated by a vendor of a fortune-500 health-care provider that defrauded the health-care provider out of over a million dollars. While serving as an expert witness, the damages calculated by Mr. Busby were fully recovered. Because of similar and equally rewarding outcomes engendered by his analyses, he has garnered warm accolades from several clients throughout his career.

Harvey has provided timely advice and critical services to numerous clients during some of the largest disasters in US history including hurricanes Hugo, Andrew, and Katrina, the Oklahoma City bombing, and the Deep-Water Horizon oil spill.

Prior to joining Provencher, Harvey founded and managed his own CPA firm, which delivered insurance loss consulting and litigation support services to the insurance and legal communities throughout the Southeast United States.

Before founding his own practice, he held managerial positions in the Atlanta and Miami offices of RGL Gallaher, a national public accounting firm, and gained international experience while working in the London, England office of Campos & Stratis, also an international consulting and public accounting firm, and while serving foreign clients stateside following the 2010-Chilean earthquake. He began his career working as a financial analyst for Lockheed-Martin.
